Sebagai part-time-rocker, gua suka compare one band to another band dan one musician to other musician. Each and every musician ade style yang different and that's why you can't tell which musician is better than which. You can't say Neil Peart is better drummer than Lars Ulrich or vice versa. But you can appreciate you favourite one. It's a tough decision but here's my top 5 FAV bass player.
Number 5 : SAM RIVERS of Limp Bizkit
- Aku berpendapat dia ni sangat fantastic dan ada skill yang menarik. Cuma dia jarang diberi peluang untuk menyinar dalam lagu-lagu LB yang banyak berunsur rapcore dan hip-hop. Lagipun dia ahli LB yang paling muda. Mungkin berasa kecik untuk bersuara berbanding dengan FRED DUSRT atau WES BORLAND yang lebih dominan.

Number 4 : PAUL GREY of Slipknot (R.I.P.)
- Seriously. Bassist yang boleh catch up dengan drum beat "peluru" Joey Jordison semestinya seorang bassist yang gempak. Bassline beliau agak susah nak dengar sebab sentiasa kena sandwich dengan gitar Mick Thomson dan Jim Root.

Number 3 : STEVE HARRIS of Iron Maiden
- This guy wrote Iron Maiden stuff! And his bass-line is always distinctive from guitar sound, which is amazing. He is an amazing bass player both in the studio and LIVE.

Number 2 : CLIFF BURTON of Metallica (R.I.P.)
- This is one legendary bassist guitarist, respected by the whole generation and will be remembered as one of Heavy Metal Heroes for a very-very long time. Come on, he's been in two of most important metal records ever! How can he not be my fav???

Number 1 : MARCO HIETALA of Nightwish
- He might not be as huge as Cliff or Steve, but this guy is an ICON of metal in Europe. He's not only gangster with bass, but he also sings like champion. This guy got all quality that a band required from a bass player; attitude, skills, experiences, stability and inspirational. Nightwish is so damn LUCKY to have this guy in their band. I can't imagine someone batter than him.

Number +1 : SIR PAUL MACCARTNEY of The Beatles
- Dinamakan sebagai ICON pop music terhebat. Lebih 1 billion album beliau terjual. Band beliau, The Beatles, mendefinisikan semula muzik pop. This man was born to inspired. Everything he touched, turn to magic. And.... He is the BASS PLAYER! A very good one.

There you go. My top 5 FAV bassist. Post kali ni sangat susah sebenarnya. Kepala sakit nak menilai semula semua bassist-bassist di atas. Semuanya hebat-hebat belaka. Masih ramai FAV bassist yang tidak tersenarai. By the way, if you read it, thanks. (Gambar semua rembat Google).
